The Accelerate Breakfast Series offers a dynamic venue where entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders engage and hear compelling investment opportunities from rapidly expanding technology firms.
At each gathering, five carefully chosen high-growth companies are featured, granting them a platform to showcase their investment potential to an audience of 100+ early-stage investors and industry professionals.
During these presentations, emphasis is placed on crucial facets of the companies’ business models, growth trajectories, and unique value propositions. These participating companies are actively seeking seed-stage capital within the range of $500,000 to $2 million.
Based in the vibrant DMV region, specifically Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC, the selected companies represent a diverse array of technologies, showcasing cutting-edge ideas and some of the area’s top entrepreneurs. The company presenters receive invaluable guidance from seasoned business leaders who offer coaching and support throughout the process.
We actively encourage applications from historically underserved groups and minority entrepreneurs. There is no application fee and selected companies incur no charges for their presentation slot.
For other attendees, the registration fee is $35 for entrepreneurs, investors, and non-profits, and $55 for other business professionals. The event features an investor panel and allows attendees to pose questions to the presenting companies.
The first two Accelerate breakfasts were held April 12, 2024 and July 19, 2024. The next Accelerate Breakfast event will be held in January 2025 (look for details here in the coming weeks).
Heading the Accelerate Breakfast Series is Dave Harvey, serving as the Executive Director, with support from George Mason University staff and volunteers from key stakeholder organizations. Existing sponsors include Fairfax County, Prince William County, and Arlington County, Virginia as well as Wilson Sonsini.
